Mr. Henderson Ko, Secretary General (2011-2012)

Mr. Henderson Ko, born in 1962, was graduated from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan with the Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Mathematics. Mr. Ko has been joining CTCI Corporation since 1986.

From year 1986 to 1999, Mr. Ko served in the IT Center of CTCI Corporation as System Analyst and was promoted to Section Deputy Manager, and then to Section Manager. During this period, Mr. Ko was engaged in the R&D for the Management Information System (MIS) of the company, focusing on the assorted administrative functions, project management, as well as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of project undertakings. All the R&D activities involved by Mr. Ko aim primarily to support each unit of the company for optimizing the performance and quality of operations management. Moreover, Mr. Ko was also responsible for the planning and development of the Executive Information System (EIS), integrating company-wide operational data so as to provide the management at all levels with the real-time information on the operational status.

In 2000, Mr. Ko was transferred to the Human Resources & Administration Department and appointed as Human Resources Section Manager in charge of manpower planning, recruitment, training, payroll, performance appraisal, and the other HR related matters. At the end of 2002, in response to the Group’s business expansion, Mr. Ko was assigned to China, taking the role of Human Resources & Administration Manager, presiding over full-scale HR operations and administration activities among the local subsidiaries of CTCI Group and the project sites located in China.

Around the end of 2006, to meet the demand of Group’s further development, Mr. Ko was transferred back to Taipei. Since then, Mr. Ko has assumed the post of General Manger of Administration & General Services Department to manage and oversee the administrative service associated with health, safety and environment (HSE) at the Group headquarters, as well as the said service activities of the head office and each subsidiary under CTCI Group.

In 2011, Mr. Ko took over the position as Secretary General of Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE), Taiwan, responsible for assisting CIE President to promote institutional activities and practices, dedicated to strengthening the interactions among engineers while supporting the academic research in engineering field and the national infrastructure development in Taiwan.
